Moving The Needle supports increased retention and graduation
One of the most important and exciting outcomes of Credo's signature student success and retention service, Moving the Needle (MTN), is the improvement in graduation rates. As retention rates increase, so we have found, do graduation rates due to the holistic, energizing, full-campus approach to retention being a key part of everyone's job on campus. With this student-centric approach, graduation rates increase as students are better equipped and better served through the entire course of their higher education.

Unpacking The Graduation Data from MTN
Analysis of the MTN participants’ graduation rates shows a distinct improvement between the FTFT cohort prior to enrollment and cohorts following the start of the engagement. Interestingly, this improvement is parallel to the improvements found in first-to-second year retention mentioned above, which suggests process improvements continue to return steady dividends beyond the first year.
Additionally, improvements in the four-year completion by graduates indicate that in addition to improving retention, it also fosters students’ degree efficiency.
